MemberOne month and -14.0 lbs – giving all the praise and glory to our incredible LORD & SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST . It is amazing how we can take ALL things to the foot of the cross . Yesterday we placed my Mom (91) in a long tern facility . She has been with us for the past 5 years . I KNOW HIS promises of NEVER leaving or forsaking us are TRUE as HE ministers to Momma’s needs and provides always for our family . And you as well WILL succeed through HIS awesome mercies . Let’s raise holy hands in thanksgiving and praise !!!

MemberTraditional Catholic here; any others in the club? Thanking God everyday for all the good people of the world and the opportunities to challenge the bad ones and all the tribulations put before us, especially at this time of Lent. God bless, KD

MemberWitha, Would your name here have anything to do with St. Kateri Tekawitha (sp?)the Indian maiden? What do you mean by “great way to exercise and meditate using Rosary on YouTube?” How do you get physical exercise that way-or do you mean something else? And where on YouTube? I can see saying the Rosasry on a walk; that is wonderful and I should be able to say it in my little walk down and back on my back road street where it is nice and quiet. I do, however, like to say the Rosary with a book I have that has short meditations for each Our Father and each Hail Mary. It keeps my mind on that alone for as you probably already know, our minds tend to wander on other things when we don’t have something to picture and meditate on. Welcome fellow Catholic. Do you mind saying where you are from? I’m from New Hampshire, USA (just in case there is a New Hampshire in another country.) KD

I too will pray the rosary as I walk. It is nice to meditate on the mysteries as I walk in God’s splendour!
http://www.comepraytherosary.org/ this is a site where you can pray with others!
I was also considering praying with a group of fellow Christians through Skype if anyone is interested. My name is kkpaniolos on Skype!February 27, 2013 at 1:36 pm #9471thekid

MemberHello Chris, I’m very familiar with Kateri Tekakwitha as I have gone to many of the annual pilgrimages in Auriesville, New York in the past. I have not been able to go for some years now because of my knee problems and other things. But it was and is still a great experience as the children from our school go there every year from the Immaculate Heart of Mary school in Richmond, NH. Thanks for the website on the Rosary, I’ll check it out. In the meantime, here is a website for you to check out http://www.catholicism.org I actually work at the school of this site for the Sisters there. May Our Lady bless you with her Holy Child, Jesus. MemberAlso, Chris, how is the program going for you? How long have you been on it? I started 1/28/13 and am in my 5th week now. I’ve lost 6.6 lb. and really feel that this is the way to do it for sure. I see changes in the appearance of my skin for one. My abdomen is shrinking some. The place that I have most of the weight is from my hips down to my knees. That’s a bugger to get rid of and I’m sticking this plan out. I feel very confident that this is the right way to do it. Kathy

MemberHey Kathy I started Feb 16th and I think the fact that I never used to eat anything until supper was just so bad. I now eat 3 meals and snack in between and I also started walking 35 mins a day! I feel great to know that this is not really a diet but a lifestyle change.
I have lost 2 pounds and hope to get to 175 and maintain which should be doable as I am 6 ft and 195.
I will start to pray a rosary for each person on here who requests it to give them strength to carry on!

MemberPlease, Chris, I’d like to request a Rosary from you. I will also include you in mine. By the way, I wasn’t sure if Chris was the man or the woman in the picture; now that you have given your height I’m presuming that you are the gentleman. Is the woman in the picture Witha, posted below, in whom I responded to originally? I’m a little confused. Good luck on your program; I’m sure you can do it. Men have an easier time at it it always seems. Kathy

MemberPraise the Lord I have just joined and haven’t gotten started yet but it’s good to see that there are others Christians here.I am a little anxious about this new way of eating. So many foods I have never heard of before.Being here to help each other should make a big difference. Doing this by yourself is so difficult.
