MemberHello, I am an Aussie and a Christian and I just started the programme today. I am not sure how to follow these threads. they seem to go backwards. I will have to tweak a lot of things but I think the programme looks great so far. No other diets have ever worked for me. I had a very nice walk today listening to Christian songs on my ipod.

MemberI just joined about 2 weeks ago and have been slowly discovering the benefits of this website. I am ecstatic to find other Christians on this journey. Anyone ever read Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnurd (?spelling)? Weight loss reminds me of that book and the thing I forget to do in daily life-include the Lord in the planning and trust Him for the next step. It took most of us a long time to put on the weight we want to lose and habits that got us there may take some Godly intervention and wisdom. Whatever your story is I am glad to be with you on this journey. God’s Blessings and sunshine to you all.

MemberHi! I am from Minnesota. Anyone anywhere near me? I joined 2 days ago on my 77th birthday. I printed out my weekly menu and got stalled the first morning. My breakfast included veggie Quiche. I started fixing it at 9:00 a.m. and it was ready to eat with my cheese and nectarine at 11:40 a.m. I can’t stand for more than 5 minutes at a time so I cut up the veggies sitting in my recliner. My oven heat isn’t accurate so I ended up baking it 3 times before it was done. I’m not used to eating that much at once so the rest of the day was pretty strange. I can’t possibly eat all the food that is on my menu. I was uncomfortable after the breakfast and didn’t eat again till supper.
I know that Jesus will be with me and will show me how to make this work. I take insulin 4 times a day and if I eat 6 times a day I will just have to trust Him.

MemberJust started Monday & am just starting to navigate the site. I am really encouraged to see other people of faith lifting up our Lord here. I am counting on Him to help me through each day & He has never let me down. I have lost 3 lbs so far but still struggling with finding good choices from fast food places when at work. I know l can take my lunch some but not everyday.Would appreciate any input.

MemberI just made 65 yrs old, did not believe I would. I am very encouraged by the responses of people my age and older. God spared my life after a critical illness a few years ago and I was ready except I wanted to fulfill His plan for the purpose He had for me. It’s been about 7 yrs and I haven’t accomplished a mission to my knowledge. I have serious physical deficits and am very over weight. I want to lose weight, be more active and involved in order to complete my mission. Please pray for me to be able to work this program and do His will. I pray for all of you too.

MemberJust signed up today. I already belong to 2 other weight loss chat groups, don’t post much but was excited to find a chat room for those of us with distinct beliefs. My husband and I are going to be doing this together with God’s help and of course all of your encouragement. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. All of us are going to so healthy when all is said and done. Stay strong brothers and sisters.

MemberHi. I just completed the menu planner. I will actually start the program tomorrow. Anyway, I think it’s great that there are people who are looking for faithful assistance and community on the website. Certainly makes me feel comfortable having like minded ppl. I’m 52 and am recovering from cardiac surgery. I’ve lost a lot of weight, but please don’t follow that example. As I’m recovering I’ve learned a lot about all the affects my other body systems have had in relation to the obesity. I’m pleased to have found this site as I need to learn to a better eating program. The good Lord didn’t take me, so I’m still here for a reason. I have to find His reason. God bless and help us all on this journey. Ann 🙂

MemberHi;
I just came across this forum. Wonderful! I am now into my second week and it is great that there is a Christian group. Any from Canada? Would love to share.September 10, 2013 at 3:42 pm #14840texasbearcat
MemberJust found this forum, and I am SO glad! I am 62 with back, hip and feet issues but God is intervening in my behalf, I know! I have consistently lost a pound or two each week following the plan (done some tweaking here and there) and now am at 10# lost. Have not excersized much because the body is not quite able, but I do a lot of stretches. So encouraging to find other believers who are in the fight!

MemberI just looked in the groups and I don’t see a Christian faith group. I will create one and we can meet there if you like. Not sure if that may be a better option. I will create it and of course you can join if you like.
