I’m missing fruits in my life,,,aren’t there any fruits acceptable?
Hi, ChiefAnthony. I assume you’re referring to sweet fruits, as the keto program uses lots of non-sweet fruit (cucumbers, zucchini, avocado, olives).
Low-carbohydrate fruits that are generally acceptable in a significant amount (1 cup) are raspberries, strawberries (fresh or frozen/unsweetened), cantaloupe, and casaba melon. Others you can have in 1/2 cup portions. It is best to have them in combination with a suitable source of fat, like 1/4 cup of nuts or seeds, 1/2 cup of sour or whipped heavy cream (sweetened with a healthy natural no-carb option like Stevia, erythritol, and/or monk fruit), in place of the snack.
