smeyer1212MemberOh telepath – your story touched my heart. I have done some experiential training classes – don’t know if you have ever heard of or done any of them but they are phenomenal at helping you to dump your past and move on. I think the best medicine of all though is in prayer (for me) and I will certainly say prayers for you and your family this challenge we call “life”. Remind yourself whenever you are faced with new “stuff”, all the stuff you have overcome in your lifetime already. God Bless You!

DeborahjjhayesMemberSusan, if anybody can motivate you it would be our group which I think you are already a member. Come home girlfriend !Successful Beginnings and Support. I’ve been single and in the I don’t care mode. However, at some point ,” your I don’t care” becomes “OMG What Have I done!” and you wind up having gastric bypass to be healthy !!I’ve done and it would give anything if I hadn’t! Do this because you want to be all that you were created to be and be healthy!!! Debbie

BuckMemberHi
Just joined yesterday. Very confused as to how it all works. I have chosen the foods for my menu, but where is my menu? I think I have clicked every button I can find. I have found a 14 day menu, but they are not the foods I have chosen and it doesn’t say the % of foods, i.e. 80% for example. Am I correct in assuming that a menu is created for me to follow, or am I supposed to create my own menu from the foods that I have chosen? Not even sure if I am on the correct forum. Hope somebody can help.
Thanks
Heather

smeyer1212MemberI’m still confused too Heather 🙂 I rec’d a copy of your message in my personal email inbox (in addition to seeing it here at TDC). I responded from that email and I’m not sure if you will get it or not. So, to sum it up, make sure you click Finish when you complete the process of choosing foods. I thought I had finished everything but I hadn’t actually because the Finish button hadn’t shown up. Once you click Finish it will take you to the next step of choosing a menu for you…I love that part! And yes it tells you the % of how healthy it is. Hope you enjoy 🙂 Ahhh yes, we started at a great time, didn’t we? Holidays!!!! Susan

MontgomParticipantHello everyone – I have been on this ‘eating plan’ (sounds friendlier that diet) for about a month. The weight loss is slow but that’s a good thing – better able to get used to it then keep it off. I have read some of your comments that could have come from my life so don’t feel alone. We all have “stuff” that we wish hadn’t happened or done. You know that little saying about change the things you can – well it took me all my life to learn that and I am finding it a great help. How come I’m too soon old and too late smart? Just keep at it and don’t be shy about venting on this site when you slip and gain a pound – consider it a meal or treat well enjoyed and move on. I know I sound like a know-it-all but at 69 yrs old I feel I have learned a few things that make life better and if it is talking about it, then go for it.
Keep up the good work folks- I am starting to feel healthier even though I have only lost a few pounds but I’m sticking to it. Have discovered some really tasty and nutritious salads from mixing the foods on my menus. Be adventurous.

Gullandemporium1Memberhello and it sounds like you are on the right track, like what you say and relate to it totally, long road this life and there is a lot that goes with it so it seems! Trouble is with a lot of food related stuff, it makes you obsess a bit and that is where the collective support is so good. Eating good nutritional food helps create less desire for eating crap, as you do definitely start to feel better. I’m scared to go on the scales but can see if I am still overweight and where, and how!! Never mind, Rome was not built in a day and it’s been a long road, regular short steps makes for a solid journey. Let’s do that walk together! Have a good Friday folks x Yvette

DeborahjjhayesMemberBuck, be sure you hit the done button at the bottom of each page after you make your choices or you’ll lose them. then at the end hit finished and it will generate your menu. Then you can make any substitutions necessary by hitting the little arrow circles! We’d love for you to join us in Successful Beginnings and Support.

blessingcatcherMemberWelcome dotbibber and Clakri and Buck! Hang in there! It gets easier, I promise! I have been on the TDC program for a year now and have lost 23 lbs. If you have questions, ask! A good place to find specific help is the group “Successful Beginnings and Support”. There are quite a few active people in it, so the chances are that you will find help quickly when you go in there. 🙂 I wish you the very best! You WILL lose if you don’t give up!
