Membernew to the program and certainly new to eating this way. Most of the stuff I’ve barely heard of (still haven’t seen a live Persimmon)….
I keep getting something called “herb sauce” or maybe “spices” in my recipies for the first 21 days. What are those?August 27, 2014 at 12:52 am #22873Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, jschillsr, and welcome! Easy does it – you don’t have to jump into anything unfamiliar. All we hope is that you can upgrade what you have been eating up to now. Herb sauce is just a generic term for fresh herbs in broth or a high-quality oil such as olive. Any herbs, spices, and similar plant-based seasonings are healthy in general, and can support your efforts here.

MemberI’ve been getting pretty creative with sauces. The possibilities are endless! My favorite so far (Very versatile) is plain greek yogurt mixed with a little lemon juice, lemon pepper, and fresh cilantro.

MemberOn week one or any time can you substitute items from different days? I can’t find persimons and I don’t care for sardines.

MemberReading these post were very helpful since I am new and many were the same questions and concerns that I have. Because of family illness I have not been able to read the material or follow the diet plan but I printed out the 14 day schedule and eat what is available. Also eating out a lot, I am careful about what I order and eat only half of it. I am loosing wt. but real slow.
