MemberHi, Well, I’m on the gravy train again. I’ve decided to join the tdc as it looks a bit more interesting than other sites. After years of yo yoing up and down, I now have to lose at least 2 stone for my health reasons. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago and I now have high cholesterol. I definitely am not going to take the statins I’ve been given so I need to give the whole thing another go.
I did lose weight when I was following my diabetis literature which I have noticed is very similar to what I’ve just been reading when I joined this site today. I like the idea of choosing my menus etc so wish me luck please.June 12, 2014 at 9:55 pm #20821skeesk
MemberI wish you luck. I have just joined too. I weigh more now than I ever have done -150lbs. My husband is diabetic and it is awful. I’m usuually healthy and active but I care for my mentally ill daughter and my husband who is ill and my stepson who still lives at home and my son who needs a lot of support as his father has just died . And I have a full time demanding job. And I’m 61. I get really tired. I thought of weightwatchers again but I don’t like the commercial aspect of it. And it is a bit humiliating and public – and time consuming I know what trinm down is saying is right. I’m just not sure I can stick to it

MemberGood luck ladies. I have just joined today and would love to know how your first day / 3 days have gone. Also health issues being a diabetic means I have been looking for a healthy eating option that includes some carbohydrates but keeping them at a good level. Very busy lifestyle but need to take stock and lose some weight. I am going to give it a good go and wish you all well. Do let me know how your starts have been.. good bits bad bits etc… thanks Su

MemberGColey, get the wheels back on the bus. Only you can do it and you can. you said yourself 4 good days.. a hicup or family do will happen here and there.. so what, if your sticking to a healthy eating plan most of the time the odd tumble wont take too much toll.
