pschonfa1MemberDoes anyone have any simple suggestions to reduce cholesterol numbers without feeling deprived of eating?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, pschonfa1. This program is based on principles of eating for blood cholesterol reduction without deprivation. If you focus on high-quality fats and lean animal products plus lots of fruits and vegetables, you may find success. In using the Personal Menu Application, select the foods in the lighter blues.

pschonfa1MemberWell my comment didn’t make much sense, its been a couple yrs since I’ve been here. Cholesterol is under control with medication, couldn’t seem to get handle on it with change of diet, Dr said it could be due to genetic chemistry, I agreed. But I’ve. Put on some 10 lbs, and although some of it might have to do with the 8 cortisone injections and an epidural over the past 2 yrs I need to get back on tract. I met my true soul mate about a 1 1/2 ago, he knows I’m a chocoholic and I like food, but I know he loves me but he is an enabler, any suggestion? I’ve told him but I need to get self control.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, pschonfa1, and welcome back! My suggestion is to think of non-food things that you like as much as chocolate and food, and emphasize those to your mate. You may also wish to have physical activity enter into the equation. Can you take walks together? Go dancing?
