MemberAm I able to add this into my menu planning? It has 120 calories per serving 0 fat, 0 cholesterol and only 2 grams sugar. My doctor has recommended eating more beans into my diet as they are a low cholesterol food which is a filling food.

MemberHi, Donna (bellabmx66). Beans are indeed a great idea. Is what you are describing a premade product? What are the ingredients?

MemberNo it’s not premade, the beans are in a bag but I have to make the actual soup by adding the seasonings etc.

MemberI would use ham to flavor but would not eat the ham as I only like the flavor not to eat it. It states it is a 15 beans with some cajun spices. Contains kidney, lima, northern, yelloweye, blackbean, cranberry bean, small white, soybean, split pea, lentil, navy, pink bean, small red, pink bean, salt, corn starch, dehydrated onion, soybean oil, lemon juice powder, dehydrated garlic, smoke flavor, soy protien, slicon sioxide. Does have added sugar of 2g per serving of 1/2 cup

MemberAnother question is adding a sweet potato in place of a veggie serving allowed?

MemberHi, Donna (bella). That recipe looks great. As for sweet potato, it is categorized as a “carbohydrate,” not a vegetable.
