I am brand new to the plan. I just joined last night. Went out today to start getting some of the shopping items. I still have a lot to get, but I would like to try and incorporate some of the foods I alredy have. How do I calculate how much of some thing I can have and what catagory to put it in. For example I like endamame nuggets and mac and cheese. Help please! I cannot afford to get all of these foods at once.

    Hi, Hilkal40 and welcome!
Just choose something similar in the Menu Planner and substitute.
Also, please do post which items you use here, and the developers will consider adding them to the Menu Planner
Good for you for easing into the program – that seems to be the key to success.

Thanks Ossie for getting back to me so soon! Yes I think for me the slow and steady approach is best. I have tried for several years to lose the weight and will lose 20 or so lbs.but then I end up getting frustrated and gaining even more than before. This is hopefully a lifestyle change I can embrace!
To the developers, If you could add pork loin at some point that would be great! Thanks!

I don’t like to cook especially breakfast and since I go to the gym early, I usually have a high protein banana smoothie. I can’t seem to find how that fits in. Also, when I buy a package of Greek yogurt, I want to use them up during the next few days and don’t want to keep changing food selections. I’m concerned about the waste in recipes. Most serve 4-8 people and I only have one to serve.

Hi, Jessica. You can fit smoothies into your morning by choosing smoothie ingredients in the Menu Planner for breakfast, and fruits in the “Snacks” tab. For example, for carbs, choose hot cereals and vegan milks, for proteins choose milks, yogurts, and nuts, and under the “Snacks” tab, choose your smoothie fruits. When you get your menu, swap out whatever ingredients you want at breakfast to make the smoothie.

You are welcome to repeat days in your weekly menu, especially items like Greek yogurt, and recipes that you can freeze (and save time later).
