My hubby is diebetic so how do I convert something he can’t eat potatoes and not much on pasta. how do you know how many carbs and sugar he can have?
Hi, Hotlight. This program is low in carbohydrates – about 40-45% of total energy. If he eats whole grain versions of carbohydrates and naturally low-sugar foods, he should be fine. To calculate how many carbs he should have each day, I just need his age, height, weight, type of medication, and general physically activity level.
my hubby is 59, 266 weight, 6’4 he take metformin, glipizide, and lisinopril and low activity.
Hi, Hotlight. He needs about a third more than you. If he could be physically active (even just walking), that could be of great benefit to his health management.
