MemberUnfortunately, I am the only one in my household who is not thin. My husband and 7 year old daughter are very thin. My daughter is already only in the 25th weight and height percentile and her rib cage sticks out. How can I follow a this way of eating without my already too thin family losing weight? How can I ensure they are getting all of the nutrients they need to optimize their health and my daughters growth?

MemberHi, HChatter. Hopefully you have a healthcare professional following your daughter and helping you there.
This program is about healthy eating, and controlling which direction the weight goes here is largely related to portion size.
How your family members react here has to do with their appetites. Are they too thin because they don’t like to eat, or is there something else?April 3, 2014 at 7:27 pm #19023HChatter
MemberMy daughter eats many times a day but normal portions. My husband eats 3 times a day some times large sometimes normal portions. I had stopped eating except for 1 time a day…small portion because I wanted to lose weight (Dr said too few calories was causing weight gain
which makes no sense to me). Now I am
following the continuous energy eating.
Just wanted to ensure they dont shrink in the
process of my healthy eating.April 3, 2014 at 7:38 pm #19026Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, HChatter. No, this program should not affect them negatively. Again, it is just healthy eating, in portions that fit each person’s nutritional needs based on a healthy we ight.
