Danman
MemberHi everyone,
I started the program a couple days ago and I have gone from only eating like once a day (only ate when I felt hungry) to what the program suggests. I try to stay on track but now I’m Nonstop Hungry. after I eat I remain full for maybe 10-20mins then I’m more hungry then before! I’m in college and It really stinks sitting in math class and picturing your professor as a nice big chicken leg! 😛 will this go away?! or am I doing something wrong??August 22, 2013 at 6:47 am #14258Danger
MemberI hope Ossie will chime in on this -but for the most part I find just the opposite is true – I get a bit peckish just before a meal but don’t generally feel hungry at all. I did have ONE particular day where I was absolutely ravenous – but generally I feel like I’ve got more than enough food to keep me going between meals.

MemberHi, Danman, and welcome. That is rather unusual. Is the total that you are currently eating much less than you were eating before? Do you eat less fat than before? You mentioned just eating “like” once per day – did you snack the rest of the day whenever you got hungry? Do you have issues with hormonal balance? Pre-diabetes or diabetes?
It may be that your body is adjusting to the new pattern, and it may not feel like this long-term. If you want to continue to troubleshoot, I’m happy to work with you.August 22, 2013 at 6:38 pm #14279Danman
MemberWhen I ate once a day I didn’t snack, I only ate when I was hungry. My Thyroid is underactive, and I’m on antidepressants. when I would eat it was what ever mom had on the table….oops I lied and normally a chocolate bar before bed. now with snacks Im eating 6 times a day, with constant hunger. you’d think it would be the other way around.

MemberHi, Danman. It is counterintuitive, but again, it could very well be the adjustment period (assuming you have not had any recent medication changes).
I would suggest that for the snacks, don’t eat everything at once, but keep foods with you so that you can pop something in your mouth when you do get hungry, while keeping the rest of the meal pattern to the bare minimum (3 larger meals per day).
