Tagged: Soya products substitute?
After the Intro to TDC i noted that one of the 5 FOODS TO AVOID is processed soya products—-which i believe is the main ingredient in EVERYONE’S meat substitutes save Linda McCartney–MAYBE—-and as , i still live with my soon to be ex hubby who is a STAUNCH vegetarian, (for the moment ) we regularly rely on Tesco, or other of the main 4/5 big brands “vegie meats? – like schnitzels, burgers, sausages etc.
I do NOT have the time or inclination to hand make them out of legumes, chopped onion etc.
Any advice?
Many thanks!!
Hi, Starlisa. The most important thing is to make sure the soy is organic or at least non-GMO. After that, try to focus on fermented soy. If you are used to prepared products, do check the labels to make sure there aren’t too many undesirable ingredients. Linda McCartney’s products are definitely among the best.
