MemberWell I finished my first week and followed my menu to the letter and when I weighed myself this morning I have gained 2lb which as gave me a confidence dilemma I know it says by eating more helps you lose weight but it’s put me on a proper downer I exercise five times a week any way doing HITT program and I have been following my meal plan to the last letter but I’ve gained instead of losing does this happen or is it just because it’s my first week very disappointed to be honest thank you Lisa

MemberHiya Lisa. I know this is a setback for you could it be that you have perhaps misread some of the quantities ? I get confused. I have just finished my first week and have had a loss and am very pleased but realise that this is probably water. I’m determined to give it 4 weeks and see where I am then. Also is it “the time of the month” for you coz that could make a huge difference. I admire you for having the commitment to exercise coz I don’t do any, I hate it with a passion. Anyway, don’t give up yet, keep on track and see what next week brings. Good luck, you can do it. Gail 🙂

MemberHia Gail no I only have small portions and no I haven’t ad a period for over two years I am full blown menopausal chick had my hormone test and I have been for quite some time so it can’t be that I’ll keep at it and see how I go I love to exercise its the best way to stay in shape I will wait for two weeks this time before I weigh myself again I am away for ten days after tommorow so that is going to be a challenge in its self but I will make the right food choices whilst I’m out in Spain and I’ll probably swim every day to keep up the fitness I’ll keep at it and see how I am when I get back from my holiday thank you so much Gail it’s nice to talk to people who are doing the same eating plan as myself

MemberHi Gail & Lisa, this is my second week on it and I too have had a gain. I did lose the first week, but to be honest I have struggled to eat as regularly as recommended and I am very bloated at the moment so this may account for the weight gain. The plus side is that i am feeling more healthier than i have done for a long time, i too will continue on this eating plan and I wish you both well. Button x

MemberHello Button, gail1956 & Loppylisa6.
I have been reading your comments and i must admit I have to agree with you ladies. I am on my third week today and I have to be honest with you, i am rather disappointed and it is a little disheartening when you follow the food plan to the T and power walk 1.5hrs per day and NOT loosing any weight instead i have gained 200g! 🙁 What is the deal here? I thought this program was suppose to help us loose weight. Deborah said that it’s mormal for some people to loose weight slowly on this program. She said the average person looses 2 to 4 lbs per month. So far i have lost 1kg on my first week but, i truly think it was just fluid only! 🙁
Do any of you ladies have any ideas or suggestions? What can we do to kick start our weight loss???
Warm regards,

MemberI love this program and most of the food on my meal plan. I also got to admit i am never left hungry after my meals, and i sometimes don’t even eat everything on my plate. I think the one thing i love most about this program is the forum where we can chat to lovely people like yourselves and get good advice and encouragement! I have made some very beautiful friends on this forum. I really love chatting to Debbie, bonitag and buzycybill because they have been a great support and inspiration to me, and i am very greatful to those beautiful people! 😉 I have started this program and i am NOT going to quit!!! I will SUCCEED.. and so will you ladies!!! 😉

MemberI know that we have to be patient, but I always thought most people would lose (even if just water weight) at first. I, too, stayed the same my first week but then lost in my second week. I’ve now begun the third week. It’s too much food for me, so I have to use the basic ideas and try to follow the main menus as much as I can.

MemberI’ve just entered 2nd week, and have gained 2 lbs. I think it’s because of all the fruit I need to eat!! Will give it one more week before I “give up”

MemberTry and hang in there Heleen75, you got to keep going and give it a chance, don’t give up!!! I am on my third week and i have gained 200g. I must admit it is frustrating but, i have been told it can take up to 4 weeks for some people to loose weight. So, keep your chin up and I wish you all the best sweetie! We are all here for each other for support! Feel free to chat anytime! 😉

MemberHello angeljackie, you got to keep going and give it a chance! I am on my third week and i have gained 200g. I must admit it is frustrating but, i have been told it can take up to 4 weeks for some people to loose weight. So I am hanging in there and eating everything on my food plan and hoping very soon i start to loose some descent weight. I have been drinking a lot of water today as recommended because usually i do not drink much water at all, as i don’t like it. So, hopefully the water will help my weight loss! Good luck and hang in there! 😉

MemberToula, thanks for the encouragement. A lot of people don’t like water, and I recommend that you put a little fruit juice or lemon or lime in it, which gives it a taste so that you are encouraged to drink more. Like the idea??
After two weeks, I lost a total of two pounds, then regained 1/2 pound, and now I’ve re-lost that half pound, which is a “miracle” because I’ve been eating small portions of pasta (eggplant parmesan homemade at a local restaurant), and pasta usually puts weight on me real quick.
Weight seems to go ON quickly but sure takes a long time to come OFF most of the time.
Yes, I love chatting here, too, and hope we’ll all keep it up.

MemberHeleen, Toula and others: please don’t give up as it seems most of us are reporting GAINS for some reason rather than losses. I know we have to be patient on this plan, but I also know how frustrating the “slowness” of weight loss can be super frustrating.
I wish the “administrators” would chime in and tell us why that is happening — I thought there were moderators of these chat groups that would answer questions — isn’t that so?
I know I can’t eat all that food, but I try to follow the main principles, eat small portions, try for more fruit and vegetables than I normally eat, etc.
The main reason I decided to pay to join this group and felt it might be worth it is because it’s the first plan I’ve ever seen where we can have our carbs, and carbs have definitely been my downfall.

MemberHi, angeljackie. Everyone has a different reason for initially gaining weight here. Most often it is a slowed metabolism from previous diets, and the effect wears off with time (faster with exercise). Others have other issues. In looking at your information, I suggest that you eat according to your satiety, meaning you absolutely can cut back on foods that are not fruits, vegetables, or high in calcium so that you are comfortably full, but not struggling.

MemberHello angeljackie,
Thank you soooo much for your support lovely! I have been trying very hard in doing everything right and i am also drinking approximately 1 litre of water a day. Today i made a large pot of free empty calorie vegetable soup. It was absolutely yummy and very filling too. You could even have this to replace a meal if you wish, it is quite filling. Tonight i had a bowl of this soup with some grilled fish and i couldn’t eat all my fish as i was too full from the soup. 😉
You should try making this soup sweetheart because you can have it whenever you want to, and its empty calories! 😉
Good luck with your weight loss lovely! Lets keep our conversation going as i think its good because we all encourage one another! 😉

MemberToula, I’ll have to look for that vegetable soup recipe that you are so crazy about!! Do you have a direct link handy?
I am happy that I have miraculously LOST 2#. Not a lot for the end of 3 weeks, but it seems so far just about every post is about members GAINING weight. I wish some of the MODERATORS would chime in and tell us why that is happening??
I see that the groups aren’t active and that this forum seems to be the one that most are responding to. So I DO want to keep active in here and share with everyone as many tips and encouragement as possible.
Jackie
