I need advice on how to get out of the “funk” I am in. I was doing great losing 2-3lbs a week, now I have lost total of 37 pounds and have just stopped. I am continuing to eat the same and also exercising, brisk 30 minute walks for 2 miles 5 days a week and also playing softball and riding a bike some. Help me get over this “non-losing” plateau.
Hi, Marcie. First, congratulations on your loss!! Second, be sure to change your weight in your profile and have the Menu Planner generate new menus based on your decreasing weights. Third, as you get more and more in shape, it becomes extra important to make changes in your exercise regime on a regular basis to keep your muscles “guessing”. For example, throw in 30-second bursts of jogging every 5 minutes of your walk, and/or add some strength-training to your day – even just lifting some light weights in front of the TV or doing whatever version of push-ups is most comfortable for you.
