judygabParticipantHow do I start a new thread?
November 4, 2012 at 10:50 pm #2698
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Judy. When you enter one of the four main forum categories, above the thread list on the right side is an orange button that says, “New Reply” – click on that, and it will direct you to a place where you can start a new thread.

babyweight138ParticipantI just started yesterday. This is definitely a lot of planning and preparation. Nothing easy about this plan. But I am going to give it a try. We are so used to processed food that we have lost our taste for natural wholesome foods. Taking a trip to Trader Joes to pick up a few of the items that I cannot get at Dierbergs.
My biggest challenge is going to be giving up wine with my dinner!

sunnyleoMemberHi,
Just signed up and I have pumpkin seeds on my list should they be salted or not? would love to know.
thanksNovember 7, 2012 at 6:20 pm #2782
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, SunnyLeo. We suggest that the seeds and nuts you eat not be salted. It is healthier, and will prevent bloating.
If you want pumpkins seeds to appear in your menu, be sure to check it as you go through the Menu Planner application.November 17, 2012 at 4:17 pm #3052
judywbParticipantI have been on this diet for 1 week and followed it to a tee and I have not lost 1 lb. I am very discouraged. Does anyone have any suggestions?

judygabParticipantTRIM DOWN sounds like a diet. It has helped me to be much more careful what I eat and how much. I have lost 12 lbs.

Ossie-SharonMemberHello to the 2 Judies. JudyGab, congratulations! I hope you’re feeling well. JudyWB, because this plan is about retraining your body to be healthy are naturally reach a healthy weight for long-term maintenance, it may go slow, especially if you have been on diets before. Adding even just a little physical activity to your plan can help to give it a jump start.

NettieMemberI decided 4 weeks ago that I needed a lifestyle change. I am not calling this a diet as it is not a quick fix. Success is. Journey not a destination. Good luck everyone. I am down 9.3 pounds so far!

judygabParticipantI just purchased and tried raw assorted nuts. Is it ok to roast and season them?
November 18, 2012 at 6:11 pm #3072
Ossie-SharonMemberHome-roasted/seasoned nuts are great – try not to burn them, and go easy on the salt.

jrhodesParticipantHi, today is my first day and already it seems like there is too much to eat. I have read and re-read everything on the site. Thank you to everyone who has posted their concerns and helpful opinions. Here are my questions: What happens if I don’t eat everything at each meal? Am I really supposed to eat 1 1/2 cups of cooked oatmeal at breakfast along with an apple and almonds?! The rest of my day is ahead of me and I am overwhelmed by how much I am supposed to eat. If I am not hungry, I do not want to eat. Please help as I begin this journey:)

judygabParticipantTrim Down sounds like a diet, albeit healthy foods.
November 27, 2012 at 12:27 am #3179
Ossie-SharonMemberHi, Judygab. TrimDownClub is like a diet, but the crucial difference is is designed for you to eat as you would at your healthy weight – not to cut way, way back short-term and then return to old habits. It is more like a retraining program.
