MemberNewbie here. Doctor is not on board. She is concerned with my lab results ie cholesterol and liver. I am excited about the program cuz of the new experience……not hungry. How long should I wait before getting lab work done to show my doc. I assume they will be better. I have 50lbs to lose but hope to stay on this permanently. Thoughts?

MemberI need to lose 50lbs. After keto my triglycerides shot sky high so she took me off. My bmi says severely obese but my Dr. Says I am not obese and he is not worried. I am 190 5 foot 2 and look 160 due to all my muscle and stocky body inherited from my father

MemberHi, golfingdeb15. Your doctor may have a schedule for follow-up, but generally every six months is the norm when there is a mild concern, every 1-3 months for major concerns (I hope there is nothing major for you). You have come to the right place here, as our program was designed for people with your issues, and I’m glad to read that you are committed to long-term efforts. Are you physically active?

MemberHi, Kenacotto. It’s great to read that you are muscular. Are you currently physically active? If so, what do you do? That may make a major difference for you.
