Occasionally use meal replacement shake, and drink an EAS protein shake almost daily to aid healing cellulitis. What do these 2 items do to this plan?

Hi, mpitts. We don’t encourage EAS roducts because they contain artificial sweeteners, which can work against weight loss and wound healing. Instead, we would recommend all-natural products such as Vega One (https://myvega.com/products/categories/powders/nutritional-protein-powders/vega-one-shake), which also provide more wound-healing nutrients. Note that each serving mixed with water could take the place of a dairy product in your menu, and each serving mixed with whole milk could take the place of a snack.

I recently purchased premium protein shakes at Costco. Does the same apply to them as EAS protein shakes?

Hi, beccapor. Yes, unfortunately. You don’t need to throw anything away, but until they run out, be sure to get a good source of probiotics (e.g., from plain “bio” yogurt).
