MemberJust started. Totally overwhelmed looking at measurements for foods, and how LITTLE the amounts are. :*(
Do I need to buy a food scale? what will work best?

MemberHi, Lynn. You don’t need to get a scale, just do some math to figure out portion sizes by weight, or get used to how portion sizes look (usually the size of the palm of your hand without fingers). Is the overall amount of food much smaller than what you are used to? Are you very physically active? I would be happy to work with you to right-size the portions.

MemberHi Could you please tell me for the day how many grams of protein is hould get in in total and how many carns and how many veggies please? In order for me to split it up in 3 or 5 small meals?

MemberHi, Hanekes. You can see the foid groyp exchanges allotted to you per meal and day by clicking on the “Exchange mode” icon in the toolbar above your menu. The following are the approximate major nutrient values:
1 carb exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 3 grams of protein
1 protein exchange = 7 grams of protein + up to 5 grams of fat
1 fat exchange = 5 grams of fat
1 fruit exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates
1 vegetable exchange = 5 grams of carbohydrates + up to 2 grams of protein
1 sweet exchange = up to 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 5 grams of fat
1 free exchange = up to 5 grams of carbohydrates or up to 2 grams of protein or fat - AuthorPosts
