Hello Ossie-Sharon-I think it would be really helpful if Trim Down supplied a list of the amounts of dry grain and water to use and also the cooking times for all the many grains recommended. It is difficult to judge how much grain and water to use to get a half cup or cup of cooked grains in the menu without making way too much and wasting it. Thanks!
Hi, judysan. Please see this chart from the United States Whole Grains Council http://wholegrainscouncil.org/files/CookingWholeGrains.pdf.
You can also enter our Recipes section, enter the grain in the Search function, and recipes will pop up that will include preparation instructions.
Thanks for useful link, Ossie-Sharon!
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
