What meats are ok to eat on the Keto diet?
Hi, Dimples0412. All meats can be fine, depending on how much fat accompanies them. In general, fattier meats – fattier cuts, poultry with skin, fatty fish – are what are recommended. We recommend fatty fish for everyone; with regard to fatty meats, we encourage you to seek healthy sources such as “pastured” or “grass fed,” so that the fats are less risky.
If you prefer lean meats and skinless chicken and turkey, just dress them up with high-fat seasonings like olive oil (and olives, of course), nuts, avocado, etc.
Thank you. Most of all my meats are grass fed. And I go like chicken breast with I grill in olive oil. Is Extra virgin olive oil Ok?
Hi, Dimples. More than OK, it’s excellent!
