MemberHi, Chris01. Yes, the menus are based on the measurements you put in your profile. The correct amounts and proportions of foods are built in.
If you find there is too much time-consuming cooking required, try choosing less of the recipe links, and go for more of the basic foods. As for the recipes themselves, try making fewer portions ahead of time, i.e. 2, and freeze one for later – try calculating the ingredients divided by 4.
If you want to let me know in which recipes you are particularly interested, you can post here, and I can give you a scaled down version.January 7, 2013 at 10:34 pm #5153ggilbreath
MemberHi Ossie,
With the menus are based on the profile I added, I know they will be healthier for me but I was wondering if there is some sort of target weight that is figured in? I certainly don’t want to use the menus to maintain the weight I am now. I can’t find a place to input anything like this. Based on my current weight, I would like to lose about 40lbs. Please let me know how this is figured in.
Thanks,January 7, 2013 at 10:48 pm #5158Ossie-Sharon
MemberYour goal weight is automatically calculated according to your height. If you would like confirmation, you can put your height here (physical activity level and age would help, too).

MemberThankyou Ossie….my husband is eating the same foods as me, and doesn’t like eggplant much, so thought I needed to find some other things to swap it with. I appreciate your help, and other than that, I have found it very easy to follow. cheers……

MemberThis is just too complicated, I don’t have time in my life to be constantly thinking about FOOD, I want to forget about food, and planning menu’s

MemberTry limiting your food choices in the Menu Planner to the minimum, and don’t choose recipes, or choose only those with “classic” or “homemade” in the name. The menus printed out will be much simpler.
At first it may seem like you are thinking about food all the time, but after a while it WILL become second nature.January 10, 2013 at 7:21 am #5534Kerryneath
MemberYes agree with a lot of the comments on this post I am finding menu combinations very weird and I am substituting most of the menu for healthy options. Think that the menu planner is a waste of time !!! I have become more aware of what I am eating and have lost 3 lbs in 3 days but as to if it is down to menu plan not sure? Also finding the site very complicated the find options on apps

MemberRaw cheese is made from milk that has not been pasteurized or homogenized. It is available through special sources, and you can find yours here http://www.realmilk.com/where.htm.

MemberHi, Lisa. Assuming you are over 18 years of age, your recommended weight is around 45-50 kg, depending build and muscle mass.

MemberThe menus generated by the menu planner are just weird. The main reason I joined was for this because I am expending so much energy all the time and I get tired. I want to make sure I get all the nutrients I need and have a healthy diet. I am not overweight by any stretch of the imagination but I would like to loose a few pounds however I am happy to do this slowly. As a veggie who isn’t eating dairy or wheat at the minute it is always going to be difficult. When I get a menu that says vegan hot dogs, 1 cup or bulgar, half a cup of parsnips and half a cup of edamame – I don’t know what to do. These foods don’t go together. Who can eat a cup of bulgar – it needs sauce of some kind and then with the veg I wouldn’t want the hot dog. The substitutions also list things I don’t eat and haven’t ticked. I am quite disappointed with this and also you didn’t say in the adverts that access to nutritionist would cost more money. Can one e-mail them instead of chatting?
