bradleysMemberI just watched the video of the menu planner feature and I liked it, but I have a few concerns regarding dairy and most of the recipe requirements. I just watched Forks Over Knives which promote a fully plant based diet. They claim that 91% of American food available in the grocery stores is processed and it is those processed food items that’s killing us. I am not a vegan but I do acknowledge the benefits of a plant based diet as the facts and conclusions from the research is strong. As nutritionists, what are your thoughts on all that and will this tool be able to still tailor make a plant based diet that’s still yummy?

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, bradleys. I agree with a plant-based diet, and we absolutely do accommodate it here. In your profile, select “vegetarian” and “non-dairy” – you will then get food lists that are appropriate, save for a few egg dishes here and there. This will trigger a menu pattern that ensures you will get enough essential nutrients based on foods you like. In addition, we are currently going through an upgrade to the Menu Planner application that will make it even more vegan-friendly.
