MemberI’ve been doing well on the diet and exercise but I can’t seem to trim down my belly fat. Does anyone have tips for this stubborn problem? I’m almost 46 years old and am 5′ 4″ and currently 138 lbs. I would like to lose about 5-6 lbs. Feeling frustrated.. 🙂

MemberHi Meagan,
I am doing both. I weight train 3 days a week and I do cardio 2-4 times a week; jogging up to 5 km or elliptical.

MemberkarlaPreston,
When you weight train, how intense is it? What exercises do you do? Are you doing this on your own or with a trainer? If you list what you do I can analyze it for you.September 11, 2013 at 9:53 pm #14877karlaPreston

MemberkarlaPreston,
That looks great! What you could do once your body has adjusted to the new work outs is decrease the rest periods in between sets. Are you doing this in a circuit or two exercises at a time?September 18, 2013 at 12:40 am #15046karlaPreston
MemberYes, I’m doing this workout 2 exercises at a time (1A and 1B) then (2A and 2B).
Thanks Meagan; no rest time will certainly increase the heart rate and hopefully lead to greater fat loss. thank you

MemberKarla,
How is it going?September 23, 2013 at 3:52 am #15132karlaPreston
MemberHi Meagan. It’s going well. I still need to increase my cardio, but I’m really enjoying this new routine. I am doing the sets and exercises with minimal rest in between and it is keeping my heart rate up. Is cardio the secret to cellulite loss too? Grr.. I don’t like this aging thing lol
