KeymasterIf you feel like there’s too much food in your personal menu plan, it’s because most weight loss diets actually give you less than your body needs, which results in hunger and later rebound weight gain after the initial weight loss.
This program is a way of life based on healthy eating, so it looks very different. Ease into it if you need to, but try not to cut back too much on quantity, or again, any weight loss will be followed by a rebound.
If you don’t like your final menu you can always repeat meals, or substitute meals by clicking on the rotating circles (to the right of each meal on your final menu plan).
You’ve taken a huge step in the right direction, and the Trim Down Club Support Team and I are here to help you. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us.

MemberI just joined and am totally confused about the menus. I am diabetic, have CLL and am nearly 75. But, I know that I can do this because I have a strong will and am an 18 year widow. So it is myself I am cooking for. Is there someplace I and find a visual guide that is not so confusing?

MemberI’ve been a member for about a week now and am finally getting the hang of it. The whole menu planner and daily menus were very confusing for me but after a lot of trial and error it is making perfect sense….so don’t get discouraged. And YES! I have spent a LOT of time on the computer working and reworking the menus and I now feel comfortable with the process. I cook for one person, myself, so I usually cut the recipes in half so have a lot of choices for leftovers which makes upcoming meals requiring less time to prepare. I like not having to count calories and am enjoying new recipes without trying to figure out if they are healthy. This is a sensible, healthy and very interesting and somewhat fun plan to follow to lose weight.

MemberHi, I’m Faye. I am inspired by my determination to make this the last time I have to lose a considerable amount of weight. I realize now that it is not just a lifestyle change; it is a restructuring of my soul, the way I truly must come to feel about myself. I am 64 years old. I have overcome smoking (24 years), bad relationships (23 years) and I am a satisfied celibate (23 years). It’s been the best 23 years of my life, and I have truly loved every age I’ve been. Food, for me, is a pain problem, not an eating or food problem. This time, I’ve named my food and exercise plan, “Letting go of My Pain.” Up until the last ten years, I’ve traded off my old addictions and compulsions, for a new one, and it’s called teeth grinding (bruxism). I’ve gone back and forth between this and eating. But that’s going to be over. I’m doing well on the trimclub program because I choose to, because I want to get that pain monkey off my back. I believe that old shame makes me compulsive; it’s a way of setting myself up to be in pain. But I know I deserve better, and if I can overcome as much as I have, then I can do this. I WILL DO THIS. Thanks for hearing me.

MemberI am thrilled I have been losing slowly but steadily. I started May 10 and today June 20 I am 12 pounds less. To date I have not dome much exercise as should but have been busy and active with gardening house cleaning etc.I still struggle to find my way around the web site. Maybe I am not computor literate enough.

MemberMy husband and I eat out once a week. I order something he doesn’t care for and I don’t prepare at home, such as grilled salmon and a small baked sweet potato. He gets whatever he wants as he’s not on the plan. This seems to work well for both of us. I’m also careful in what I prepare for the remainder of the week. He seems to like most of the recipes I have gotten from the site and continues to encourage me. I continue to lose weight and am very happy with my results (as is my husband).
I have another issue. We live on the second floor in a condo that won’t allow us to have an outside grill. We love to grill in the summer and are forced to use an indoor grill. Any suggestions or recipes you may have to help us would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Harriette64

MemberHi, Harriette. If you use lean meats, they won’t generate as much smoke. Also, using a closed lid can also seal in juices better and you might even get away with less charring (less black is always better).
