MemberHi all, it’s the start of week 5 for me and I’m down 4 kgs, I have decided to treat myself to a pedicure tomorrow as a “go girl” treat :). I still have a long way to go, but for the first time on a diet I feel I can do it 🙂 Stay positive people and keep at it x

MemberHi all
I am new to this and wondering if someone can help me? What happens if you don’t eat everything you are supposed to in a day or if you do but change a food type slightly? Also, if you have a treat or a bad day, what happens?
Finding it quite hard as not carolie conrolled so could just do with knowing the essentials really. Any help would be great x

MemberHi everyone, Just wanted to post a bit for some motivation for those just starting. I am currently on week 16 and have lost a little over 30 pounds with the Trim Down Club. I had lost 25 before I began by just counting calories, but was getting bored with the same old thing, that’s why I started here. These 30 pounds have come off with very little movement on my part. You see, I had polio as a child and now suffer from post polio syndrome which is lots of pain. I also suffer from lymphoedema in my left leg and sometimes cellulitis with blisters all over that leg. I spend a good share of my time sitting in bed (pain is less this way) When I am not in bed I am in my electric wheelchair because I can’t walk and have bad shoulders from pushing a manual wheelchair. With those issues it makes physical work or exercise almost impossible. I do muscle tightening with muscles that work and a lot of deep breathing. I’m telling you if you are relatively strict about following the meals and snack this program works. Granted I feel like I am eating all the time, but the weight is falling off. I had a cancer scare earlier this past year and had to opt for another treatment as I was too big to have the surgery for fear of something going wrong. I am now cancer free but they may still decide to do the surgery once I get my weight down. I have over 200 more lbs to lose but I know I can do it with following these menus. Our 40 anniversary is in 2017 and I am hoping by then to only have about 50 lbs to go which will put me lower than the weight I was when we married. That would be so awesome! Thanks for reading

MemberI am having a real problem because I do NOT eat snacks, never have, and I find that the menu is therefore just too much food!! Have had a weight loss on the first week though, but just can’t stuff it all down.Ruth h 74

MemberHello everyone!
I am so happy and glad that I joined the tdc. I am going to buy myself something special this week.February 7, 2016 at 3:34 am #33939Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, caggettc, and welcome. Coffee and tea are “free” beverages, meaning you don’t need to count them in your menus – just whatever you add to them, such as whiteners and sweeteners. Hot chocolate can be selected in the Menu Planner “chocolate milk,” and definitely does count as a food-type item. Soft drinks with sugar or artificial sweeteners are not encouraged, but you can make your own with carbonated (“soda”) water, flavor extracts or fresh lemon or lime juice, plus a natural low-carb sweetener. To see what sorts of sweeteners we do encourage, try our article http://www.trimdownclub.com/the-best-way-to-sweeten-your-tea.

Memberclaramax-you need to say positive words. No negative words allowed! LOL. Seriously, if you tell yourself how good you feel when you eat healthy food, you will be successful. I change my menu list every week because i get bored eating the same foods all the time.. So i create a new menu every week. I found that the program is a bit difficult to maneuver at first, so i clicked on every link and then settled on what part of the program i like. One thing i hate more than the dentist… is the videos that promise you the world and say absolutely nothing. i just watched one about: the five foods you should never eat. honestly, she could have said in in 3 minutes but she drug out the video for 15 minutes. i turned if off, after 5 minutes, so i have no idea what the foods she was talking about are. anyway, stay focused, positive and enjoy eating healthy foods. i hope my ideas work for you.

KeymasterHello angelo17,
Welcome 🙂
If you feel like there’s too much food in your personal menu plan, it’s because most weight loss diets actually give you less than your body needs, which results in hunger and later rebound weight gain after the initial weight loss.
This program is a way of life based on healthy eating, so it looks very different. Ease into it if you need to, but try not to cut back too much on quantity, or again, any weight loss will be followed by a rebound.Additionally, below I’ve put together some instructions for how you can create a shopping list based on the foods you selected:
1. Go to http://www.trimdownclub.com
2. On the top right corner of the homepage click on Login
3. Enter your Username and Password (You can also use your email address connected to your purchase as your username. If you lost or forgot your password, click on “Lost your password?”)
4. Once you are logged in, go to “Apps,” then scroll down and click on “My Menus”
5. Choose the menu you want to review by clicking on the menu icon under “View”
6. Once your menu appears, click on “Grocery List” (located on the right side of the screen)
7. Then, select the days that you want to create a shopping list for, and then click on “CREATE GROCERY LIST”
8. Last of all, click on “Print this grocery list” (at the top of the form) to print out your shopping listWe hope you find this information helpful. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
