MemberI am working my tail off. I eat 5 small meals a day and very rarely eat sweets. and 2 of those meals are just fruit or veggie or nut snacks. I am also working out 6 days a week for at least 30 min a day (3 of those days is doing insanity). in 2 months, I’ve gained 2 lbs, and lost no inches. What am I doing wrong?!

MemberMaybe excercising too hard. You may building muscle and thus the weight gain. Your meals sound fine. Becareful of certain exercises too much will make you build muscle. According to some exercise you may be “doing” it right and gaining muscle thus the weight gain.

MemberHi, SunshingingDay (and thanks, Castro97!). Are you using the Ready-to-Go menus or the full Menu Planner application in which you select your foods? In addition to what Castro97 mentioned, I would be happy to run a detailed analysis of what you are eating and make recommendations. Can you list a sample day, including portions sizes here? If that takes too much time, you can also copy and paste your Trim Down Club menu and indicate what you do and don’t eat from it.

MemberI too, am having trouble losing any additional weight. I do at least 5 miles (50 min) on the elliptical along with resistance/weight 5-6 days a week. I try to do a 10 mile (100 min) elliptical workout once a week and often add a 2-3 mile walk in the evenings. I originally lost 6 pounds the first 8 days of this program, but gained one back. I lost 35 pounds previous to this program over two years ago and have kept it off. I know that I can’t follow this meal plan to a “T” due to life, not being at home or not having the exact food in the house on the given day. Any ideas? I’m tired of working out so hard and getting no where.

MemberHi, Kalb. I see your weight puts you just barely over the line to a level of food intake that may be too much for you after having lost so much weight before. Try putting “175” as your weight, and your menu will drop a level.
Also, try wake up new muscles by substituting one of your workout types with yoga moves taken from such types as “hot” (also known as “Bikram”), “Iyengar,” or “power” yoga.February 11, 2015 at 6:20 pm #26971KALB

MemberI have found that it takes time for the body to adjust to any new dieting or exercising routine. For me I need about 3 weeks of a life style change before I can see the results. Permanent and stable changes to your health and body will take time. Perhaps if you exercise at a level/intensity that you can effortlessly maintain and eat responsibly thus giving your body a chance to positively respond you can achieve the results you desire. I hope this helps you.
