MemberHi I’ve just joined but have a question b4 I start. I’ve been told to ONLY eat wen hungry yet all lifestyle changes tell me to eat 6-7 times a day. I’ve done this with portion control and Still Gained weight. can I wait till I am hungry b4 eating or following a meal plan?

MemberHi, Mamaskittlez, and welcome. It is good to eat when hungry, but the challenge is to not find yourself not eating during the earlier part of the day, then eating a lot later in the day. If you train your system to be hungry and sated at regular intervals throughout the day, it can be fine with just 3 meals per day. In this program, you can distribute the foods in the snack meals over the other meals, and see if that works for you. Please do repost if you need more help here.

MemberI have been on the plan for one week and have lost 10 lbs. Im not fure if it isnt all water or actual fat weight that I have lost but whatever I plan on staying with it. I printed out the suggested menu for a week and stuck with it as much as possible. I did make a few substitutions for the foods I could not eat and it seems to be working well. I will be starting an aqua exercise group tomorrow as my joints will not allow me to walk for any distance and time.

MemberI have been on the plan one week and have lost 10 lbs. Im sure some of it is water weight but I hope some is also fat weight. I printed out a weekly menu suggested by the plan and I was able to eat most of the items on it. I did have to substitue a few items from the other menu as I could not eat some items listed. I am starting an aqua exercise class next week since I had a stroke several years ago and I am unable to walk for long or very far due to having foot drop. I am very happy with the plan and I am going to stick with it. It works!

How do I substitute items on my meal plan that are not on the list? For example I use mayonnaise with olive oil in place of real &/or light mayonais. Turkey bacon in place of regular bacon & turkey burgers in place of regular hamburgers. I also use wheat rolls instead of white hamburg&hotdogs rolls.

MemberHi, Marshhills. Yes, but note that each ounce of turkey bacon is equivalent to 2 ounces of Canadian bacon. If you can find bacon products that are uncured and made with pastured meat, even better.
