MemberI have already been carefully planning my meals, preparing them and avoiding prepackaged, processed foods entirely (with the exception of a daily Lemon Lara bar). I misunderstood from the ‘preview’ before joining, that this plan simply plugs you into full meals. I was hoping to have some advice on what to eat at certain times of the day (how to combine things). I have been primarily eating things in isolation to avoid overloading my digestive system (which was in lousy shape). Doing this I’ve lost 47 pounds and I have no acid reflux anymore, very little gas, much less bloating, more energy, clearer skin, and hopefully, less active cancer (since double positive breast cancer was my incentive to make radical changes in my diet). What I was wishing I could do, was make a list of the things that I can eat (it is quite limited) and then be shown what could be combined without burdening my digestive system or hindering my immune system. That is my goal. The recipes are helpful (since I look for those on line and tweak them until I come up with something that fits within my constraints). The food list doesn’t cover the things I’ve been eating and it appears that when suggested meals are given, they put things together that I am leery of mixing. I have, for example, been reading that fruit should be eaten alone, or at least with things that are very easily digested. I also try to eat goat kefir with flax seed oil (Budwig) daily and that supplies a great deal of protein and oil (and 560 calories in about 5 oz)! So, perhaps my expectations (based on the video) are too high? I did see that it addressed quite a few of my primary concerns (non-gmo, organic best, grass-fed meat & eggs, whole grains, hormone balancing…) so, I thought I would be able to utilize what I have learned and have been practicing to come up with meals that will help me maintain my weight and continue to keep digestion simple so that my body can function well and get to necessary chores during sleep. Are there others that are on here for health reasons primarily, not just to lose weight?

MemberHi, MLynnM. A couple of things. The menus here indeed quite high in protein, and the items that you eat are already on the list “to be added” in the near future as we continuously upgrade the site.
We will also be releasing in the near future a tool kit with which you can build your own menus, based on exchange lists and menu patterns.
Regarding food combinations, I would be happy to look at the source of information regarding eating fruit alone. We personally are not crazy about that because we prefer you have some protein with it to cushion the glycemic impact. Some proteins are easier to digest than others, of course – beans (if you are OK with these), seeds, mushrooms, kefir, etc.
If you wish, I can provide you here with your recommended pattern – the exchanges are similar to those used by the American Diabetes Association. I just need your height and weight.
Thanks, and be well. - AuthorPosts
