This approach to dieting is appealing to me and have added all the foods I like etc. However, cannot create my menu planner as I do not enough proteins or Carbs. I do not drink milk or eat fish. Does anyone have any ideas so I can start this programme with eating foods I like and get the shopping list sorted.

    Hi Turgan,
    Welcome 🙂
Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having planning a menu. I suggest that you add as many foods as possible to your menu (especially the first one you create). Please keep in mind that you will always be able to make changes to your final menu.
    Best 🙂

I had the same problem with proteins. I didn’t see the fish I liked and I use mainly nuts and legumes for protein, with a little fish, chicken, egg and cheese. I had to add all sorts of beef to my choices to get the menu planner to work. I did learn that I can then go to the menu for the day and “un-like” a food so it will no longer show up on the menu, starting the next week. I am new, so I’m not sure how that will work tho, : )

I’m new. I liked the concept of protein/carb balance. I’m looking for sample meals that show this equation. Also, there is a place to update the profile but I don’t see where there is a progress chart available.

Hi, 190malloy. The Progress Meter application is in “Apps” (the link is near the top left corner of each site page). I’m also attaching the link here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/Progress-Meter/?v=1466430050v328_332_v1.

Hi, Sarah. i’m happy to help. Note that 600 calories is much too little, and will result in rebound weight gain. If that is to what you have been accustomed, you can gradually increase your intake by focusing mainly on the proteins and fruits and vegetables in your menu, leaving out the starchy “carbs.” If you can engage in some sort of physical activity, that would help get your metabolism back up.
