MemberQuestions on when to eat snacks? I don’t see anything telling me I need to eat snacks two hours after meal or when? Also, for the shredded wheat cereal for breakfast, I bought Kashi Shredded wheat is that ok? Also, what kind of yogurt is ok? I don’t see any brand food names for things like this. Thanks!!

MemberOne more question- I went through the menu and swapped out what I like but when I sign back in I don’t see the menu that I just created, I only see it in history. Am I doing something wrong?

MemberHi, docbetts. Most people are comfortable eating snacks about 2-2-1/2 hours on either side of meals – really, it’s your choice as long as the times are similar each day (ideal, but not mandatory, of course).
We do indeed avoid listing brand names to keep things as flexible as possible. Rather, we encourage Clubmembers to read labels to be sure foods are as unrefined and unprocessed as possible. Kashi Shredded Wheat is fine if it is the organic type – you’ll see in the ingredients list that it is quite simple, and there is very little sugar in each serving. Similarly, plain yogurts that are organic (and ideally “pastured,” meaning the cows or goats were fed natural grasses rather than grains) are best, with no added milk solids (it is better that you get plain and flavor it with fresh or frozen fruit and a natural sweetener such as we recommend here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/the-best-way-to-sweeten-your-tea-2).
As for your menus, they are indeed stored in your history (your foood selections are saved in the Menu Planner application itself, however).September 14, 2015 at 7:56 am #31567Support
KeymasterHi docbetts,
Regarding your second question, please provide us with the foods that should and shouldn’t be in your menu.
Also, it would be great if you can let us know which menu (menu id, which can be found in your menu history) you expect to see in your dashboard (homepage).
Best 🙂September 15, 2015 at 11:54 pm #31613docbetts
MemberThank you for answering my questions. I’m using my menu #6. I thought I did save the foods that should and shouldn’t be in my menus. I’ll try it again.

MemberHi I have just joined aand I am unsure how the menu part works, I have put my foods etc down and it comes up with my menu, which I understand, am I then supposed to take the ingredients and make a meal from the choices of food? I’m a little confused……. Thanks Sarah
