Hey, I am a week in this and have followed my menu extremely precisely and I’m actually two pounds heavier than I was a week ago today. I am very discouraged as I have put in a LOT of time and effort to abide by the menu. Need some pointers. What could I be doing wrong. I am not used to eating more than two meals a day and snacking whenever so I’m wondering if six times a day is just too much? Help.

Hi, NewJennaNow, and welcome. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past, it may take your body a while to get used to eating normal amounts of food in a schedule manner. I suggest you back up and make gradual changes and stick with whatever is truly comfortable for you. For example, if you liked the two major meals with snacking, you can do something similar here, BUT make your snacks balanced mini-meals at similar times each day instead of scattered, which isn’t great for weight loss and can enable you to lose track of the amounts you eat. The third major meal in your menu you can just downsize to include the vegetables and/or fruits and a smaller serving of the protein (or just move the produce and another ounce of lean protein to another meal), and that may help you.
Exercise can also make a big difference. If you are already exercising, try to make a change (even if temporary) to work new muscles and, if possible, add a few bursts of high intensity (30 seconds each) here and there. If you would like more guidance with this, please do repost here.
