MemberI just joined the program and I am working my way around the site. If I click on My Downloads, am I charged if I download something. Also I saw where you could download the entire program to use on your IPAD audibly. Is there a charge for that? Does it go into your ITUNES account? Or is it just put in your download file. After reading some of the Trim Down Club is a SCAM pages on the internet, I’m nervous to download anything. Plus I can’t remember what I clicked on. I think I just figured out why my portions were soooooo BIG! I had clicked on the larger cup pictured. I had no idea what that icon was!!
For example, I cannot eat 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 cup of Milk, 1 egg, 1 whole peach at breakfast! When I see someone answering questions on this forum/blog are they other members or the actual nutritionist who answer the questions. Just wondering. Lots of questions, but I can’t be the only one wondering about them. I am hoping this will be a good thing for me. 🙂October 23, 2014 at 8:37 am #24116Support
KeymasterHi lgislandgirl,
All of your downloads and guides are located in the My Downloads area. You will not be charged by going throughout the Trim Down Club website and looking over the material in the website. Your purchase was a one time payment. We do not charge any other ongoing membership fees.
Also, Ossie our chief nutritionist is always around to answer your nutritional questions in these forums. It is also a great place to meet others that are taking part in the program. If you need any technical help, you can check out our FAQ page or contact our support team by clicking on FAQ or Contact Us links at the bottom of the website.
Best of luck 😉

Memberlgislandgirl, you need to come to our group and talk to all the people who have lost98 pounds, 35 pounds, too any to count!! it isn’t a scam. I am the supervisor of Successful beginnings and support. We have almost 1,000members. I am a volunteer. I do it because I believe in it. I certainly wouldn’t spend the time and effort it takes to keep the group positive and encouraging if it were a scam.It is a lifestyle change. People don’t want to change… Haters gonna hate.

MemberHi
When setting up my menu choices I found I couldnt add in fish and seafood to a basically vegan diet. I eat vegan style, but add in some fish or seafood once or twice a week. How can I do this? I’ve just joined the club (yesterday) and dont want to get my menu organised until I am able to include all the foods I need/like to eat (that are healthy!). Thanks.December 6, 2014 at 10:02 pm #25046Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, acochrane. The best thing would be to just deselect “vegetarian” from your profile if you have checked it, and fish will be an option for you.

MemberHi. Thanks, but still having issues. I did as you suggested and chose the foods I generally eat. But the menu plan has fish/seafood 2 or 3 times per day and very few beans etc etc. I eat fish/seafood once or twice per week at most. Swapping out foods seems to be quite complicated. The foods in the menu are listed, not in recipe format (apart from a few recipes I had selected) – which doesnt really matter in a fish meal, but for a vegetarian dish, doesnt look too tasty. I’m thinking that the menu planner might not work very well for a largely vegan diet? Or maybe I’m just not using the app very well, being a newbie.

MemberHi, acochrane. It can work for a vegan diet, but not in the omnivore setting, because they follow different patterns (the veg setting takes into account that you will be combining foods with mixed compositions, rather than anything with a “pure” protein). I suggest that you generate a set of vegan menus (select non-dairy and vegetarian in your profile, then just ignore egg dishes in the food lists) and a set of menus without any special diet but selecting fish, and then just pick the days you want to follow and when.

MemberI have just subscribed today and have checked the list of drinks. Although you mention that you should be careful with sugar-free items, I was wondering about diet drinks like Tab and Sprite Zero? You also indicate that you can drink alcohol, what should I leave out if I would like to have a daily glass of dry white wine with supper? I have also found a liquid Vegetable Fructose, which has no after taste. Unfortunately there is no nutritional information on the bottle. Do you think that would be better than the normal sweeteners?

MemberHi, Borries and welcome. We don’t recommend those diet drinks because they contain artificial sweeteners that may work against your efforts here. Fructose is the same, as its isolation from fruit and concentration to make a sweetener is something your liver cannot handle well. You can easily make your own sodas by mixing plain carbonated soda water, a few squeezes of fresh lemon and/or lime juice or drops of natural cola extract, and a natural sweetener such as xylitol or monk fruit. You can read more about sweeteners we recommend here – http://www.trimdownclub.com/the-best-way-to-sweeten-your-tea-2/.
Regarding dry white wine, you can incorporate that into your daily menu by selecting it in the Menu Planner list (it is under “Fats” – Beverages), as it counts for 1 fat + 1 carb exchange.January 3, 2015 at 6:10 pm #25501SamKat9
MemberHi, just joined. I drink a lot of tea, and I use Truvia. Any thoughts on that, or are a couple teaspoons of sugar better? Thanks, looking forward to getting started.
