MemberHi everybody – I work a three shift pattern in an automotive manufacturing facility. One week of mornings followed by one week of afternoons and then by a week of night shifts. Anybody with any ideas on how best to manage the obvious difficulty of following the menu plans i.e eating breakfast when on nights for me is before I go to bed, whilst I’m eating dinner just after getting up in the late afternoon.Any advice welcomed.
Look forward to putting ideas into practise.April 20, 2013 at 4:50 pm #11112Ossie-Sharon
MemberHi, Paddyvxr. I’m just the consultant here, but until someone with a similar arrangement chimes in, I will provide my two cents.
Ignore the numbers on the clock, and arrange your eating pattern as if your day was a regular day. For example, if you wake up for work at 6 pm, then eat the breakfast at 7 or 8 pm (or whatever, as long as it is before you start work), then a snack at 10 pm ], lunch at midnight, snack at 3 am, dinner at 6 am, last snack a couple of hours before your go to sleep. Normally metabolism slows down when the sun is down, but since it looks like you have a somewhat physically active job (please correct me if I’m mistaken) bit should be OK. Please let me know if this is not workable, and we can brainstorm. - AuthorPosts
