MemberHi – I joined a week ago, so this past week has been my trial and error period. I have been able to figure out what foods/menu plans work best with my lifestyle. I was diagnosed a year ago with fibromyalgia and have spent every part of that year trying to find ways to manage my pain. I take medicine and get trigger point injections, but still struggle every day with trying to live a normal live. I have always been able to lose weight with the Atkins method, very low carb allowance, not healthy and certainly not sustainable for the rest of my life. I need to lose about 25 lbs. My pain management doctor has been working with me on additional ways to manage my pain and suggested a healthy, balanced eating plan and exercise. My first week has gone well, I lost a pound. Still working out the kinks, but feeling very positive about TDC. I will be working exercise into my daily plan next week. I’m curious if anyone else with fibromyalgia is a member and could share their experience.

MemberHi, bbipper. We wish you well, and are here if you need any assistance. In the meantime, you may find some like-minded souls in the “Successful Beginnings” group, in which there are quite a few ladies managing fibromyalgia.
