MemberI am in complete agreement with everyone who is here in the UK.
Most of the choices are products I wouldn’t or couldn’t eat being a diabetic. I don’t think I will be continuing with this. It’s not going to work for me unless English food options are available.January 6, 2013 at 5:56 pm #4970Matelot56

MemberI just feel much the same, I just cannot understand what half of the stuff is. Example “real bacon (turkey)” How can bacon be turkey? Plus, I joined this because the advert condemned processed food – well, turkey masquerading as bacon IS processed food in my opinion. To be quite honest it is disappointing. They need to make it more UK friendly.

MemberYou can get turkey rashers in the UK. I think they’re a Bernard Matthews sort of thing which you can get in most supermarkets near the bacon. You can cook it like actual bacon.

MemberI totally agree, we need the Uk equivalent. Is fry light OK to use?
I joined today so am hoping to lose at least a stone.January 6, 2013 at 8:59 pm #5004silverstuddedblue
MemberAgree with all comments, very disappointed, didn’t realise it was so American and don’t know what half the food is! Looking forward to seeing menu planner when they’ve amended it so hopefully it will correspond with what we can buy in our usual supermarkets here, can’t afford and don’t want to shop for special foods.

MemberI joined today am also confused by the menu’s, I would have to spend the whole day cooking to keep to what has been suggested for me.
Also except for 1 fish curry there are none and these can be quite health and low calorie.
When I played the info tape pt mentoined all the bad foods you should stay clear of yet the menu is full of them.
I need simple uk dishes and can’t spend all day cooking.January 7, 2013 at 4:35 pm #5100Support
KeymasterDear UK members,
We have just expanded the list of shops that carry the foods we recommend. Please note that all the foods are found in both the US and the UK, but some may be new to many people, and so appear to be entirely “foreign”.
Don’t lose hope! They will become familiar soon enough, and your body will thank you for it.Here is a link to the expanded list:
http://www.trimdownclub.com/where-to-buy-ukIf you have any further suggestions feel free to contact-us via the link at the bottom of this page.
As mentioned, we will continue to adjust the program, recipes and applications to your liking, so stay tuned. To Your Success!
Trim Down ClubJanuary 7, 2013 at 7:29 pm #5124China
MemberI also live in the UK and in defence of Trim Down Club you found them on the internet then use the internet to find the products needed. Suprisingly you can find many in our regular supermarkets…eg Costcutters do a great range of organic flours, Spelt, Brown Rice Asda do rice milk.. just a couple of examples.
Cost….I’d forgotten just how important eating was to my overall health..stoped my great habits leading to getting sick & quite frankly fat. There can be no cost spared if it means staying healthy…besides if you are all serious do some research many of the foods can be found quite cheaply…..cheaper than eating all that fast, instant processed junk & we can all give somthing up in our lives that costs eg Bingo or fags!!!
I personally can’t wait to start my journey with Trim Down Club they are doing a good job.January 7, 2013 at 8:06 pm #5132angela1
MemberI am also glad you have finally told us some of the stores in the uk
