I’m curious how safe it is to be consuming stevia while I’m nursing my 9 month old baby? Also, is it safe for my 2.5 year old to eat items containing stevia?
Hi, Shae333. It appears to be safe based on animal studies, but since no human studies have yet been performed, it is advised to use it in moderation. In addition, moderate use of any sweetener may protect the baby from developing a ‘sweet tooth’ and possibly also tendency to overeat.
