What are the best food sources of certain vitamins? Minerals? Amino acids? Phytochemicals? This is not always easy to answer because sometimes it is about more than just absolute amount – it is about relative portions, impact of storage and cooking, food combinations, etc. This thread can help provide information about the whole food approach to meeting nutrient needs.
I try to make smoothies and protein shakes, using a wide variety of fruits and veggies along with some supplements in the form of powder mixes. Do you think this is a good source? I was under the impression that it was. Am I wrong with my thinking or correct?
