ilovecollies1691MemberGood morning Trim Down Club team! I have chosen Oatmeal (cooked with milk) and I am a bit concerned that it only shows up as 1 carb. Thinking having both oatmeal and milk, it might be more?? Technical error or is this a good thing? HAHAHA! Thanks!

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, ilovecollies. If it is 1/2 cup all together, it is still only 1 carb. Enjoy!

ilovecollies1691MemberThere looks like a computer technical error on the menu planner. If I choose 1 cup oatmeal cooked, it’s 2 carbs. If I choose 1 1/2 cups oatmeal cooked in milk, it’s also 2 carbs. Hubby loves his oatmeal! This may be why he’s not losing as fast as me.

srmahler72BlockedI had the same reaction. I really can’t believe that if I cook oatmeal (1 carb) in 1/2 cup whole milk (1.75 carb divided by 2) that I end up with 1 carb.

Ossie-SharonMemberHi, srmahler. It isn’t exactly like that – it is half a cup of the oatmeal cooked in milk.

srmahler72BlockedBut the milk doesn’t go away it cooks the oatmeal to a creamy consistency & then you eat it. You don’t strain off the milk.
