Ok I need to know something, do we only weigh in once a week? Cuz I get on the scale twice a day!!!! I think I have a problem…. I weigh in every morning, and again every night, so one day is good and one day it’s not, driving me nuts!!!!

Hi there Tyreena here! I think obsession says a lot because to be in it is pure mental HELL, I know that too 🙁 But with weighing I can only tell you what I’ve chosen to do and that is to weigh myself once a month purely because any more frequent and I’ll keep upping the anti and then I’m obsessed. My friend who bought a new weighing scale has decided she’s keeping it in the cupboard and only going to weigh herself once a week as it was starting to drive her crazy! I hope that helps?

Seeing a good weight is VERY encouraging, but seeing a bad weight can ruin my day or week! Our body naturally fluctuates during the day and over a few days. Personally, I try to weigh once a week. I do occasionally peek at the scale, but if it’s not what I expect it is VERY annoying and depressing. My husband is very tall and I am very short, I think I’m going to have him put the scale where I can’t reach it, and then he can get it down on Monday, my weigh in day.

I can relate to this big time. I’ve just started the program and I’m also obsessed with the scale. My husband moved the scale this morning because he needed it to weigh a package he is taking to the post office and I was sad I couldn’t weight myself. I think the scaled can be a good encouragement for me but like you I also need to limit my weigh in’s I think or I am going to drive myself crazy and become to micro focused on my daily weight. I’m trying to focus on how I feel overall instead of weighing so much. It is not easy though because I think when people say ‘I am on a diet’ the main metric is the scale. Since this program focuses on long term results I have to remember its a long journey and I’m going to see very slow progress over time. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Weigh yourself once a week, same day and early morn after you get out of bed. You will weigh more in the evening after you have eaten and drank. Also if you weigh with clothes try and wear same thing at weigh-ins. Remember if you still menstruate that will also cause a fluctuation in weight. Instead of weighing yourself, find a pair of pants or shorts, not the stretchy type with elastic waist band, but the button type, that are to tight and try those on every two weeks. Your measurements can change from diet and exercise, when the scales barely budge.
