My menu plan calls for prepared organic soup. Is there any lists of what kinds of soup or calorie limits or sodium restrictions?
Hi, Judyannsews. The general type of soup is noted in your menu – i.e. vegetable, cream, “chunky,” etc. If you stick to that and the portion size in the menu, you don’t need to worry about the calories. As for the sodium, if you have a salt-sensitive condition (such as congestive heart failure), then the upper limit would be about 200 mg (ideally 140 mg); if you don’t, then about 600 mg is fine. Examples of recommended brands are Pacific Natural, Amy’s, and Health Valley Organic.
