What can I do to get out of my rut. I’ve been at the same weight for 2 weeks. HELP!
Hi, Marleenie2. The most reliable (and beneficial) way out a plateau is to adjust your physical activity. If you are not doing any, then introduce some, even gradually – i.e., first 5 minutes a day, then 10, then 15, etc. – and even something simple like walking in place in front of the TV, or lifting soup cans to get your arms moving. If you are already active, try waking up new muscles or a complacent metabolism by making a few changes in your routine, or inserting brief bursts of higher intensity exercise – for example, 30 seconds of jogging for every 5 minutes of regular walking.
