Dovy
MemberI need alot of input on this subject especially in light of the issue of 3 small meals and 3 snacks a day. Somehow I think that portion control is better in theory than in practice. How does one psych oneself into eating an amount equivalent to a deck of cards and not a speck more?! I am not saying the alternative is pigging out, but most diet programs, including this one which I just joined and take seriously, don’t devote enough attention to actually attaining specifically measured portions successfully. I look forward to everybody’s input on portion control with 3 X 3 a day. Thanks.

MemberMaybe I was too hasty about saying that it doesn’t devote enough attention to this problem. What I think I meant was just that it is a psychological issue more than anything else, and needs alot of “therapeutic” discussion!

MemberHmmm, Dovy. Not sure about that. The 6 small meals a day fill most of us up and we aren’t looking for more. If you regulate your portions (and believe me, sometimes they are NOT small!), and weigh and measure what you are supposed to, you will be surprised at how full and how satisfied you feel! You will soon be able to work in things that you really enjoy and not feel deprived! Come check out the group “Successful Beginnings and Support”! There are a lot of articles on their “forum” that are just for beginners and answer lots of questions. Besides, we are avid chatters and pop in and out often during a day’s time! People from all over the world! 😉 Come join us!
