I have calculated my protein needs to be between 47 and 83 grams per day (using on-line calculators). The menu that was suggested by the Trim Down Club only had about 8 or 9 grams of protein per day. I prefer a vegetarian diet, so perhaps this is why it prescribed such a low protein intake. Is this healthy?
Hi, as a longtime vegetarian I’m interested in this as well…
I’m a bit surprised about the 8-9 grams of protein in the TDC as my menus show a lot more than that. What did you count as protein? Did you include legumes, nuts, … etc?
Hi, larkphillips and enibas. Those numbers are for exchanges, not grams. The translation for exchanges of arious foods to grams can be found here: http://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
