MemberHi, BonnieJ. It depends what is in the protein drink/meal replacement and what is alotted to your meal. In general, those products are more processed than is recommended, but there are some good ones out there, and are definitely preferable to skipping the meal.
Is there a specific product in which you are interested or using?May 16, 2013 at 11:58 am #11731bonniej
MemberIt’s from GNC and called “Giant Sports Delicious Protein.” Gluten Free, 27g of protein, 4g carbs, no added sugar, 198g sodium. Is this a good one, or which one would you recommend?

MemberHi, BonnieJ. That particular product contains artificial-type sweeteners – specifically, corn syrup and ascesulfame K. It is preferable to choose a type with natural sweeteners and additional benefits. Attached is an example http://perfectfitprotein.com/ (scroll down to just under the “Supplement Facts” box to see the ingredients.
