Hi, all. A “natural” pancake means that the ingredients are natural, whole, non-GMO foods. In addition to making your own (thanks for posting the recipe link!), the following is an example of an ingredients list from something sold in the freezer section of some shops:
Water, Van’s 8 Whole Grains Mix (Whole Wheat, Oat, Barley, Brown Rice, Dark Rye, Quinoa, Amaranth and Millet Flours), Enriched Flour (Unbleached Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Cane Sugar, Oat Fiber, Maltodextrin, Baking Powder (Monocalcium Phosphate, Baking Soda), Cornstarch, Soybean Oil, Dried Honey, Soy Flour, Malt Extract, Wheat Starch, Soy Lecithin, Sea Salt, Cinnamon, Nonfat Dry Milk, Eggs.
(Though it does not state it, this particular brand does not use GMO ingredients).
