I recently joined this program 2 days back..and so went to ASDA for grocery shopping. But i was unable to find any 100% wholewheat bread. the best was Hovis whole wheat which 62%wholewheat (as stated). Plus i didn’t find the word “refined” anywhere in the ingredients.
Will it be okay..if i eat 3-4 slices in a full day? I usually take whole wheat bread slices or whole wheat pasta.
Also, i see my menu planner says only.. peanut butter as a snack on few days. Is it okay if i take a slice with i?. I wouldn’t eat the butter alone.
Hi, Ratika3001. Hovis whole wheat (wholemeal) bread is fine. There isn\’t really a limit on bread per se, as long as you account for the total amount of carbohydrate foods you eat each day. It is an excellent accompaniment for peanut butter, and generally peanut butter comes with something that you can swap out for bread without worrying about eating too much overall.
