Tagged: Peanut oil
I have been cooking with Peanut Oil. When reading the quick start guide, peanut oil is not mentioned. Should I stop using it and change to Olive oil? If so, why?
Thankyou,
Vinceozred
Hi, Vinceozred. Peanut oil has a higher ratio of omega-3 or omega-9 to omega-6 fats than is recommended. Peanut oil is fine for occasional seasoning, of course, but olive oil has a better fat composition for regular use, and contains important antioxidants.
