After reviewing the menu planner created automatically, is there specific calorie intake? I like a lot of the foods on the list and have ideas on how to create them but not sure how much I am allowed to eat for each meal. Example: I fixed the tuna steaks, corn soup and steamed broccoli with carrots for dinner. Is this too much food for one meal? Does this diet cater more to women than men? I read not to burn or blacken food on the grill. Does this apply to using olive oil on the grill, stove or oven? If I decide to keep this diet, I will create my own menu each week to shop by. I don’t want to waste anything because this food is expensive.

In terms of food amounts. Take a small dinner plate (or maybe a salad plate if you have a formal set of dishes), the right amount of food would be about 1/4 of the plate with your protien, 1/4 of your plate with your carb, ad 1/2 of your plate with your veggie. Believe it or not, if you have been drinking the amount of water/liquid that is recommended and have been eating 6 times a day, you will find that this is about all you really want and need to eat. Of course you could always eat more, just because it is there, but you don’t really need it. Like they say, chew slowly and take about 15 minutes per meal, even though you could wolf it down in 5 seconds. What you need to do is train your body to know that it will never be hungry because you area eating so many times a day that its insulin level stays level. Remember never to eat carbs alone without something like protein of something with a lot of fiber to slow down the sugar spiking in your blood stream. This does work, give it a week and you will see.

I sent you an e-mail asking why you need my actual date of birth to which you replied: you will get back to me in 2 days. I would like my answer today please.

Hi, Hoyle. Did you check your junk email box? Sometimes our responses go t o there. In any event, I can gell you that your age is used in the calculation of your nutritional needs, which is why we need your date of birth.

I am a diabetic and there are way to many carbs to keep my blood sugar in check. Is there someplace on the site where I can indicate this. My menu gave me over 150 grams of carbs for the 1st day.

how do i cancel menu plan and start over new?

    #39589

Hi, slegbert. The program provides les than 45% of energy from carbohydrates, which is the generally recommended amount for diabetics and considered to be relatively low-carb. Are you currently having trouble with your blood sugar levels?

Hi, starknight. In the toolbar above your menu, you can click on either “New Menu,” which will give you another menu of the same type (non-personalized) or “My Food Choices,” which will lead you to the personal version of the Menu Planner application, where you can select the foods to go into your menus.

Is processed meat ok if it says no nitrates and uncured or all natural?

    #39611

If it is uncured (without artificial nitrites), that’s fine – but itt’s still preferable to have less of these than fresh meats.

I am just starting this program today. I don’t know where my scale is and have not weighed myself in a while, so I am assuming I am starting at 220.00. I am regularly putting a teaspoon of organic coconut oil in my mouth on an empty stomach in the morning and “oil pulling”. Then drinking some ACV with 1/2 lemon juice and a little honey with water to take my supplements. Today I ate 2 hard boiled eggs and am at my office so I need to know what else I could eat this morning from what I have available to me. I made homemade chicken soup last week which has some quinoa/brown rice and carrots in it. Good bone broth with the dark chicken meat and fat removed from the top. What else can I eat now from what I have in the fridge?

Hi, cparker. It looks like you’re off to a good start. I don’t know what you have in your home at the moment, but you can use the personal version of our Menu Planner application to check off the foods you have, and have the system turn give you ideas for menus.

How can i get a new menu for the following week without losing my current weeks menu. You see i shop on a Saturday for the following week.

    #39690

Hi, PMallick. Click on “New Menu” in the toolbar above your current menu to get next week’s. To return to the current one, click on “Menu History” in the same toolbar, and select the second date in the list.
