I’m a type 2 diabetic and was told that all fruits are high in sugar except for berries and that my carbs needed to be limited way more than this plan is suggesting. How do i know what is the right way to go?????
Hi, moonmaiden. Fruits are relatively rich in carbohydrates, as are starches, legumes, and milk – but they are also high in fiber and water, which helps balance out the sugar. It is also important to note you still need certain amounts each day. This program is based on principles of diabetes care, the Menu Planner ensures carbohydrate sources are spread out through the day and accompanied by protein and/or fat to ease the impact on your blood sugar. No worries.
I just signed up for the program but I am having trouble signing in.
